Time Management As A Barber

Running your own business, no matter the niche REQUIRES you to be very organised with your time, but this especially applies in barbering because, on a fully booked day, you will fall behind on EVERYONE if you’re late on anyone.

Using tools ensures your timing is on point, so here are the TOP 3 that help me…

GOOGLE CALENDAR

Plan as much as you can in your day here so you never forget anything. Make it a habit to check this daily, ideally every morning & night, so you never forget your plan - otherwise it’s pointless to have this.

DAILY PLANNER

Every morning & night, go through your plans/calendar and update it and plan for the next day or two to ensure your calendar is always up to date, so you remember all your plans, and so you give yourself good time to plan for the following week.

BOOKING PLATFORM

Use a booking platform, if you don’t already. The KEY part is to provide the correct amount of time to each client. If you need 45 minutes to do a cut, then give yourself 45 minutes - don’t rush as quality > quantity, especially if you want to grow your barbering audience. If you know a client’s head very well and can finish them quicker, then adjust that client’s appointment to maximise your efficiency.
